Essay on Sun For Students

Structure of Sun: Sun is made up of gases. The Sun consists of three main parts: core, radiative zone and convective zone. In simple words, we can say that the Sun is made up of three layers. The inner most layer or core is responsible for nuclear fusion which emits heat and light. This light reaches the upper layers of the Sun. The radiative zone is located above the core and convective zone is just below it.

Sun is located in Milky Way (Milky Way Galaxy), which is about 26,000 light years from Earth and we can see it during the day. Other solar system bodies like sun are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn etc.
