Greetings!

Respected principal, teachers and my dear friends, I am here to deliver a speech on yoga. Yoga is an activity that can be performed by people of all age groups and it has various benefits. It helps in keeping our body and mind fit and healthy. It originated in India more than 5000 years ago.

There are various exercises of yoga which are performed by people in order to keep their body and mind fit. Some of the main exercises of yoga are as follows:

1) Anuloma-viloma: It is a breathing exercise which helps in improving our respiratory system.

2) Bhastrika: It is an exercise which helps in improving our digestive system.

3) Dhanurasana: It helps in strengthening our back and abdominal muscles.

4) Halasana: It helps in toning our muscles and it also helps in reducing fat around our waistline.

5) Kapalbhati: It is a breathing exercise which helps in improving our blood circulation.

6) Kundalini yoga: It helps in awakening our energy centers and it also helps in improving our concentration levels.

7) Surya namaskar: It is a sun salutation exercise which helps in improving our immune system.

8) Vrikshasana: It is an exercise which helps in improving our balance and coordination.

9) Yoga nidra: It is a relaxation exercise which helps in reducing stress and anxiety.

Yoga is very important for our health as it helps in keeping our body and mind fit and healthy. It also helps in reducing various diseases such as blood pressure, heart problems, obesity, diabetes, etc.

Yoga can be learned at school by children and it is also very beneficial for them. It helps in improving their concentration levels and memory power. It also helps in keeping their mind and body fit and healthy.

Secondly, be patient and never give up. Thirdly, find a good teacher who can guide you properly. And fourthly, don’t compare yourself with others and just focus on your own journey.
