An inspiration is something that lets you set the priorities. It is the force that motivates you to achieve your goals. For me, my father has been an inspiration. From the very beginning, he showed me what it means to work hard and be dedicated. Whenever I face any difficulty, all I need to do is remember his words of wisdom and I am back on track.

My father grew up in a small village in Punjab, India. He was the middle child of five brothers. His father was a farmer and his mother was a homemaker. Despite the poverty and hardships of village life, my father’s parents instilled strong values in their children. They taught them to be honest, hardworking and respectful. These values would stay with my father throughout his life and would be a source of strength during difficult times.

When my father was only eighteen, he left his village and came to the United States. He had very little money and knew no one in this country. But he was determined to make a better life for himself and his family. He worked odd jobs and eventually saved up enough money to attend college. He studied hard and earned a degree in engineering.

My father worked hard to provide for our family. But he also made time for us. He was always there for me and my brother, whether we needed help with our homework or just someone to talk to. He taught us to be independent and to never give up on our dreams.

My father has always been my hero. He is the one person who I can always count on. No matter what life throws at me, I know that he will be there for me. I am so grateful to have him in my life. He is my inspiration and my strength.
