The Red Fort is also known as Lal Qila and is located in the center of the city. It is one of the most impressive examples of historical architecture, and one of the most popular destinations for tourists of many countries.
Taking care that it remains a cultural heritage of the country, the Indian government maintains it from time to time. On the Yamuna river bank in 1648, it was built by Shah Jahan, the Mughal ruler at that time.
The Salimgarh Fort is located near the New Delhi. On the Independence Day of India, the Prime Minister unfurls the national flag here. Within the Red Fort are several beautiful structures (like Rang Mahal or Palace of Colors, Mumtaz Mahal, Khas Mahal hammam, Nahar-e-Bishisht canal of Paradise etc).
